HAYES, Glenna

Age 96, of Arcanum, passed away at the Brethren Retirement Home on March 15, 2017 following an extended illness.  Glenna was the daughter of Columbia Davis O’Morrow and Ray Davis and wife of Jim Hayes since October 4, 1941.  She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Jim Hayes, daughter-in-law Kathy Hayes, and brother Clem Davis. Glenna graduated from Dexter City High School in 1938.  She was an active member of the Arcanum Wayne Trail Historical Society, Inc., Darke County Chapter of SERO, Hoffman United Methodist Church in West Milton, and served as the secretary at Arcanum-Butler Schools for 18 years. She is survived by her children, Barbara (Richard) Garrison, David Hayes, and Marilyn (James) Lorton; grandchildren, Tim (Tammy) Garrison, Scott Garrison, Brad (Cara) Hayes, and Mark Hayes; step-grandchildren, Kevin (Teresa) McGlinch and Jamie (Billy) Swartz; 9 great-grandchildren, 5 step great-grandchildren, 3 step great-great grandchildren, and numerous other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held Monday, March 20th, 11am at Kreitzer Funeral Home, 204 N. Main St., Arcanum, OH 45304, officiated by Pastor Robbie Scott. Visitation will be held Sunday, March 19th, 4-7PM at Kreitzer Funeral Home.  If desired, donations may be made in Glenna’s name to State of the Heart Hospice, 1350 N.
