PETERS, Roger

Age 83, of Arcanum, went to be with the Lord at Brookdale in Greenville on Saturday, October 16, 2021 following an extended illness.

Roger worked his career and retired from General Motors, as a Superintendent, after 37 years. He was a charismatic person who made friends out of strangers where ever he went. Roger has been a long time member of Faith United Methodist Church in Arcanum. He was one of the kindest, most caring, and loving people you would ever meet. His love and generosity towards his fellow man was admirable. Over his years, Roger found a passion in woodworking, creating numerous sculptures, among other woodworking projects, and was an avid golfer. He will be deeply missed by all the lives he has touched throughout his life.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles & Mary Peters; first wife, Joyce Peters, and siblings, Dick, Hubert, Ronnie & Paul

Roger is survived by his wife of 22 years, Virginia “Ginny” Peters; children, Debra (Jeff) Graham, Suzanne (Scott) Anderson, David (Candice) Peters, Kevin (Brittany) O’Dell, Randy (Lisa) O’Dell, Missy (Mark) Pohl; grandchildren, Kara (Dirk), Stacy (Todd), Justin (Candice), Ashley (Andy), Eric (Kyle), Sarah, Cory (Alyssa), Brad (Mike), Brandey (Taylor), Macey, Conner, Camille; 17 great-grandchildren; siblings, Linda, Peggy, & Larry, and numerous other relatives and friends.

Services will be held on Wednesday, October 20, 2021, 12pm (noon) at the Faith United Methodist Church, 101 E. South St., Arcanum, OH. A visitation will be held on Wednesday the 20th, at the church, from 10am – 12pm (leading into the funeral services).

Arrangements hosted and made in care by Kreitzer Funeral Home, 204 N. Main St. Arcanum, OH 45304. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Faith United Methodist Church or the Alzheimer’s Association – Miami Valley Chapter.
