BOYD, Robert “Bob”
Age 87, of Arcanum, Ohio passed away peacefully on May 9th, 2026. Bob was born February 24, 1939, in Salineville, Ohio to Birchard and Martha Boyd, the oldest of three children. He graduated from Irondale High School in 1957 and attended Ohio University. Bob proudly served in the United States Airforce from 1961-65 and was stationed in Crete, Italy. Post service, he had a long career in sales at Sears until his retirement. Bob had a strong work ethic and was well respected by those who knew him. He married Donna Russell on November 25th, 1967, and made a home in Arcanum, Ohio, for over fifty-two years. In his retirement you could always find him in his garden working, tinkering on his cars, or spending time with his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Donna, their children, Michael (Denise) Boyd and Julie (Gregory) Boyd Hinson, three grandchildren he adored, Andrew (Miranda) Hinson, Adam Hinson, and Abbie Hinson, and his brother, Ronald Boyd,and sister, Judy Boyd Pardo. He was preceded in death by his parents, Birchard and Martha Boyd, his brother-in-law, Frank Pardo, and niece, Darcy Pardo Intelli. A service will be held at a later date in his hometown of Salineville, Ohio. The family would like to thank the staff at Brethren Home in Greenville, Ohio for their care the last eight months.
