TENNISON, Richard E. “Rich”
Age 65, of Arcanum, passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2024 at Miami County Hospice unit in Troy following an extended illness. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard (Linda) Tennison and by his mother, Molly Steele. He was a retired SCPO in the US Navy. He served 8 years on active duty and had a total of 32 years of service including his time in the Naval Reserves. He was a member of American Legion Post 140, Eastern Star Amelia Chapter 338, Arcanum Lodge #295 F&AM, Scottish Rite Valley of Cincinnati, John H. Campbell Council #147, Ohio Priory #18 Knights of the York Cross of Honour & Hanselmann Commandry 16, Arabian Horse Association & Darke Co. Farm Bureau. Rich is survived by his wife of 22 years, Tami; children, Ashleigh (David) Riggs, Joshua (Rebecca) Rayner; grandchildren, Elijah, Corben, Cora, Izzy, Daxton & Teagann; step-father, Gary Steele; sisters, Michal Tennison, Ricky (Doug) Steele, Allyn (Greg) Floyd, Babette Steele, Amy (Ron) Bishop & Sherry (Dave) Aufdenkamp. Naval Honors will begin at 7pm Thursday, April 4, followed by Masonic services, all held at the Kreitzer Funeral Home, 204 N. Main St. Arcanum, OH 45304 with visitation held from 5-7 prior to services. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Ohio's Hospice of Miami County.
