HANGEN, Nolan Eugene
Age 91, of Arcanum, passed away of natural causes at the Brethren Retirement Community on April 11, 2022. He served in the United States Army where he was stationed in Korea during his term. He was a faithful member of Faith United Methodist Church of Arcanum and retired from Dayton Power & Light after 35 years of service. Nolan was preceded in death by his wife Ellen, his two brothers, Bob and Don Hangen and his two sisters Ruby Black and Kate Hickman. Nolan is survived by his children, Steve Hangen (wife Nancy), and Pam (Hangen) O’Connell (husband Kevin); grandchildren, Stacy (Hangen) Worrell, Dave Hangen, Joel Hangen, John O’Connell, Dan O’Connell and Jacqueline (O’Connell) Aplequist; great-grandchildren, Kaylee Worrell, Lexi Worrell, Ethan Hangen, Kyle Hangen, Cecilia O’Connell and Nova O’Connell.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses, aides, and the Hospice team at the Brethren Retirement Community in Greenville who took care of him with kindness and dignity. He will be greatly missed but not forgotten.
Visitation will be held at the Kreitzer Funeral Home, 204 N. Main St., Arcanum, OH 45304 Thursday April 21 from 10-11 am. Funeral services will be held 11 am Thursday April 21.
