Ned F Kress, 88, of Tipp City, went to be with the Lord on August 5, 2021. He was born April, 28, 1933, to the late Earl and Glenna (Martindale) Kress of Monroe Township, Darke County.
He was preceded in death by his son, Bradley Kress, son-in-laws, Trent Beighle and Steve Slaughterbeck, and 12 siblings.
Ned was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, brother, and friend. He enjoyed listening to music, watching reruns of his favorite shows, spending winters in Florida, and spending time with his family. He was an active member of Aldersgate United Methodist church in Huber Heights. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean War. He worked 35+ years as an electrician at Black Electric.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Kress; 3 daughters, Cindy Slaughterbeck, Brenda (Ricco) Brooks, Valerie Beighle (George); numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and several other relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be held at Newcomers Cemetery, Painters Creek - Arcanum Rd., Arcanum, OH 45304, Monday, August 9th at 11 am, open to friends and family. Arranged and hosted by Kreitzer Funeral Home, 204 N. Main St., Arcanum, OH 45304.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ned’s memory to St.Jude’s Children’s Hospital or Hospice of Miami Valley.
