Mary Ellen (Wiest) Goubeaux

Age 91, of Arcanum, Ohio went to be with the Lord on December 12, 2020 at Brookdale of Greenville. MaryEllen was born on August 9, 1929 to the late Edson and Ester (Rench) Wiest.

Mary Ellen is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Harold “Buzz” Goubeaux, who she married on September 23, 1949; son Steve Goubeaux; siblings Avis LaPrise, Mildred Edmondson, Waneeta Wick, Jeston Wiest, Charlie Rench, Kenneth Rench, Helen Cates, Grace Hollopeter and Eldon Rench.

Mary Ellen retired from Fram and always enjoyed attending the annual Fram picnic. She loved to play cards, especially with her euchre club. She enjoyed her travels with her husband and was always thankful for the many trips they took. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Arcanum, Ohio.

Mary Ellen is survived by her son Scott Goubeaux; sisters-in-law Wilma Lee “Boots” Davidson, Betty Cohee, and Pauline Rench; special niece caretakers Margaret Warner and Willie Bruckner, as well as many other nieces and nephews, and numerous other relatives and friends.

There will be a Memorial Service held Saturday, January 16th, 2021, at 1:30pm, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 112 W. South St., Arcanum, OH 45304. Guest are welcome to come any time between 12:30pm - 1:30pm before the services start.
