Marjorie E (Leaver) Flory

FLORY (LEAVER) MARJORIE

Marjorie Evelyn Flory (82) was born on April 29, 1942, in Union City, Indiana and passed peacefully at Rest Haven in Greenville on December 24, 2024. She was the third of five children born to the union of the late Evelyn (Longwith) and Russell Leaver.

Marjorie pursued a career as a beautician as a young woman. Later she lovingly provided in-home daycare for many Greenville and Arcanum young children. Marjorie’s greatest joy came in caring for her family, raising her daughter Cindy and later caring for her granddaughter Mackenzie.

Along with her parents, Marjorie was predeceased by her loving husband, Harry Eugene Flory; her daughter, Cindy Flory; her granddaughter, Mackenzie (whom she, along with Gene, raised for several years);her sister, Janice Leaver Royer; and her brothers David, James and Larry Leaver. She is survived by her brother-in-law, Bill Flory; several sisters-in-law and several nieces and nephews.

Marjorie was a loving, gentle soul who was very much loved by her family. Although she had suffered many losses, she never lost her beautiful smile. Marjorie lived the past five years at Rest Haven where she was actively involved on multiple committees and made many friends especially her roommate, Barb Shaw.

Marjorie’s family would like to thank the administrators and staff at Rest Haven for the kindness which they provided Marjorie during her stay. In lieu of a donation please consider performing a “Random Act of Kindness” for a young person. That would please Marjorie as she spent many years caring for young children.
