DENNISTON, Marilyn L.
Age 84, formerly of Arcanum, passed away at The Brethren Retirement Community on Thursday, February 6, 2020.
She was born at home on July 16, 1935 to Denver "Butch" & Lois (nee. Harshbarger) Miller. Marilyn is a graduate from Franklin Monroe High School, Class of 1953. She would go on to marry Robert W. Denniston on January 19, 1957. Marilyn worked at Gem City after high school, and once she married, went on to be a homemaker. She also spent much of her time babysitting several children in the Arcanum area over the years. She is also a long time member of Trinity United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School. In the past, she was also a member of the Women's Society.
Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Denniston; daughter, Roberta; son-in-law, Robert House; granddaughter, Kylie Harshbarger; sister, Nancy Miller, and brother, Richard E. Miller.
She is survived by her children, Robin (Charles) Constable, Ronald (Pam) Denniston, Renee (Scott) Rector, Ryan (Shannon) Denniston; grandchildren, Kaylee (Jacob) Banks, Rachel Denniston, Jacob (Suzette Ferguson) House, Amanda (Jeremy) Parrish, Rebecca (Isaac) Sowers, Kaydee (Chris Smith) Harshbarger, Raymond Denniston, Rhianna Denniston, Robby Denniston; step-grandchildren, Eric (Kristy) Rector, Nathan (Denise) Rector; great-grandchildren, Colton, Aria, Brynlie, Christian, Kason; step-great-grandchildren, Kallie, Madison, Tommy, Isaiah, Bryson, Dyllon, Izabella; sister, Judy Patton; brother, Carrol Gene Miller; brother-in-law; sister-in-laws; several nieces and nephews, and numerous other relatives and friends.
A casual celebration of Marilyn's life will be held, 2pm - 5pm, Saturday, February 15th, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 112 W. South St., Arcanum, OH 45304. Interment to be held privately at a later date.
