RICKER, Leon

Age 93, of Castine, passed away Saturday, April 18, 2020.

Leon was born May 27, 1926 to the late Charles and Nellie Ricker in Butler Twp. near Arcanum, Ohio. He is an Arcanum High School graduate. On December 25, 1948 Leon would go on to marry Esther Horine. He was a long time member of Castine Church. He retired from NCR and the VanLeer Bucket Factory. He was a US Navy veteran of WWII. He enjoyed farming and he loved his family with all his heart. He will be deeply missed by family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Leon is preceded in death by his wife Esther, by an infant daughter, Carol J. Ricker, and by siblings, Phyllis, Myrna, Rodney & Galen.

Leon is survived by a daughter, Ruthann (John) Denlinger; grandchildren, Sarah (Paul) Miller, Mark (Gina) Denlinger, Julie (Troy) Denlinger, Craig Denlinger; great-grandchildren, Brice, Natalie, Darcy, & Caton Miller, Carmen, Trudy, Kaci, & Morgan Denlinger, Tristen, Regan, Kyler, & Brody Denlinger; brother-in-law, Berman Henninger and numerous other relatives and friends.

Due to national health concerns, a private service will be held at the convenience of the family. The family wishes to thank both the Brethren Home and State of the Heart Hospice of Greenville for the loving care they extended to Leon.
