FISHER, Leon
82, of Arcanum, OH passed away April 13 at the Brethren Retirement Community. He was born to the late Bertice and Ira “Bob” Fisher and was a veteran of the US Army. In 1968, he married Phyllis Hartzell, who survives him. He is also survived by a daughter, Nicole Fisher of Richmond, IN; two sisters, Bertha Magrace (Larry) Fair of Sabina, OH and Marcia Nixon of Arcanum, OH; four grandsons, in-laws Robert and Margaret Hartzell of Greenville, OH, John and Dianne Hartzell of Ansonia, OH and many nieces, nephews and friends.
He retired from Reynolds and Reynolds, was a life-long farmer and also owned the Arcanum Laundromat. He attended St Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Ithaca.
He was a long time member of the Knights of Pythias having just received his 50 yr pin last year and he was a member of the Treaty City Amateur Radio Association having served at one time as the president.
There is no visitation or funeral. There will be a graveside service at a later date at the convenience of the family. Donations in Leon’s name can be made to St Matthew’s Lutheran Church or Castine Food Bank. Arrangements by Kreitzer Funeral Home, Arcanum, OH.
