Age 72, of New Madison, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 26, 2020.

Kent spent most of his life as a tool and die maker, but found so many other joys in life. He was an active member of the Masonic Lodge as KYCH and a current worthy patron of Fort Black Chapter #336 OES. He was also a very active and devout member of his church, often helping with the food pantry. Many people might not recognize him though without the jolly red suit on. For many years Kent, not only dressed as Santa, but fully embodied the kindness, wonder, and joy Santa brings.

His family and friends will always remember Kent as a wealth of knowledge; a kind, selfless, giving man that had other peoples best interest at heart. He was a devout Christian with a heart of gold, and will be deeply missed by all those he has impacted.

Kent is preceded in death by his parents, M. Mearl & Jeanne Bridges, and his brother, V. Bruce Bridges.

Kent is survived by his wife of 47 years, Marilyn Bridges; children, Dianna Bridges, K. Allen (Chene) Bridges, Stephanie (John) Grilliot, E. Michael (Carmen) Bridges; grandchildren, Cassandra Gibboney, Jacqueline Gibboney, A. Ethan Bridges, Julia Bridges, Milyn Grilliot, Charlotte Grilliot, Rowyn Grilliot, Jennifer Bridges, several nieces and nephews, and numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2020, 11AM, at the Kreitzer Funeral Home, 204 N. Main St. Arcanum, OH 45304. Interment to follow at Mote Cemetery.
