DEAR (Smith), Josephine

Age 80, of Arcanum/Ithaca, passed away Saturday, October 20, 2018 at the Brethren Retirement Community following an extended illness.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Carl & Kathryn Morningstar; first husband, Robert A. Smith; husband, Clifford Dear; children, Robert C. Smith, Carl Smith; and several brothers and sisters.

Josephine is survived by her children; Steve (Kathy) Smith, Kirk (Lois) Smith, Ginny (Dean) Daugherty; grandchildren, Erica (Sean) Livingston, Tyler (Jen) Smith, Melissa Harter, Robert (Ashley) Smith, Randy (Kellie) Daugherty, Shayla, Danny Chrysler; great-grandchildren, Jayden, Sofia, Alex, Madison, Caleb, Mackenzie, Brooke, Andrew, Hank, Emma Josephine, Oliver, Payton, Cooper, Caiden; brother, Harold “Butch” Morningstar; special friend, Betty Daugherty, several nieces and nephews, and numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 24, 2018, 11AM at the Kreitzer Funeral Home, 204 N. Main St. Arcanum, OH 45304. Burial to follow at Ithaca Cemetery. The family will receive guests from 6-8PM Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Arcanum Rescue.
