Age 97, of Arcanum, passed away at her home on Thursday, April 18, 2024 following a sudden illness. She was preceded in death by her husband of 76 years, Duane W. Ehlers in Oct. She is also preceded by her parents, Ira & Lela (Dubbs) Dull and by sisters, Doris Ewry & Ruth Baker. She was a 1946 graduate of Arcanum High School and a longtime member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Ithaca, OH. She retired from Sutton’s Grocery in Arcanum after 25 years of service. She loved cooking for and spending time with her family. She loved traveling in the RV with her husband Duane, spending their winters in Okeechobee, FL and camping at the Fairgrounds in Greenville during Fair Week. Janet is survived by sons, Dennis (Jan) Ehlers and Dean Ehlers; granddaughters, Monica (Brady) Baughn and Krista (Mark) Coppess; great-grandchildren, Lauren (Korey) Garland, Alaina Baughn, Cody Coppess, Ethan (Fiancée Belle Cable) Coppess; great-great-granddaughter, Karter Garland; step-granddaughter, Cassie Boccabello; step-great-grandchildren, Summer and Tanner Boccabello. Visitation will be held 11-12 Tuesday April 23 at the Kreitzer Funeral Home, 204 N. Main St. Arcanum, OH 45304. Funeral services will begin at 12 noon with burial to follow in Abbottsville Cemetery.
