DAVIS, Jack A.

Age 73, of Pitsburg, Ohio passed away Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Versailles Health Care Center. Mr. Davis was born December 4, 1945, on the home place farm in Monroe Township to Byron Davis and the late Esther (Spitler) Davis.

Jack was a graduate of Monroe Township High School where he was involved in VoAg, FFA, and 4-H. He was a well-known, hard-working farmer & trucker, and enjoyed welding and repairing farming equipment. Jack served his country honorably in the United States Army and National Guard. He was a member of the Pitsburg Church of the Brethren, American Legion (Greenville Post), and VFW (Greenville Post). He was also a lifetime member of the Farmers Union and served on the Executive Committee for many years.

Jack is survived by his father, J. Byron Davis; cousins, Robert Davis, Sue Holzapfel, Jennifer Barhorst; special family friend, Eric Hussey, and numerous other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Friday, January 11, 2019, 11AM at the Kreitzer Funeral Home, 204 N. Main St. Arcanum, OH 45304 officiated by Pastor Chris Barhorst. Interment of remains to follow at Mote Cemetery along with full military honors. A visitation will be held on Friday from 10-11AM leading into the services.
