ARCANUM OH—Gloria “Beth” Flora was born on July 14, 1939, to Russell and Clara Julien. She passed away peacefully in her home on the morning of December 4, 2021.
She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, David Flora; children, Jody Fair, Jill (Blair) Miller, Carrie (Mike) Feitshans, and Brad (Sherry) Flora; grandchildren, Sam Fair, Rachel (Connor) Thomas, Hannah Fair, Erin (Mark) Taylor, Anna (Jake) Bowen, Evan Miller, Nathan (Robyn) Feitshans, Travis (Haley) Feitshans, Trevor (Megan) Fulton, and Emily Fulton; great-grandchildren Luke Taylor and Gavin Feitshans; brother Tom Julien and sister-in-law Dee Spille; numerous nieces and nephews, and several other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Clara Julien; siblings Ed (Effie Mae) Julien, Anabel (Giles) Gilbert, Twila (Don Laird/John Potts) Potts, Rosalie (Dick) Arnett, J. R. “Bud” Julien; father and mother-in-law Howard “Pat” and Viola Flora; sister-in-laws Doris Julien, Patty Shafer; brother-in-law Robert Spille, and granddaughter Elysia Fair.
Beth was a lifelong member of Faith United Methodist Church and played the piano and organ there for 70 years. She was a member of Sunny Side and served on several church committees. She volunteered at Wayne Hospital for many years. She retired as a secretary from the Arcanum-Butler School system.
In addition to the many happy years of marriage, she most enjoyed being with her children and grandchildren. Beth was greatly loved and will be missed by many.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 9, 2021, 11am, at Faith United Methodist Church, 101 E. South St., Arcanum. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 8th from 4pm – 7pm at Kreitzer Funeral Home, 204 N. Main Street, Arcanum OH 45304 and also on Thursday from 10am-11am at Faith United Methodist Church.
