THOMPSON, Gary L.

Age 78, of Arcanum, formerly of Middletown, passed away at his home on Tue. Nov. 15, 2016 following an extended illness. He was preceded in death by his parents and by a granddaughter. He was a US Army veteran, and he retired as a member of the Teamsters after 35 years of service. Gary also taught truck driving for 11 years. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; sons, Eric (Bobbie) Thompson, Skipp (Amy) Thompson, Josh (Fawn) Baker; daughter, Heather (Ryan) Snyder; 13 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; brothers, Harold (Sue) Thompson & Bobby (Terri) Thompson; sisters, Millie (Bob) Kruze & Kim (tony) Melchion; step-mother, Shirley Thompson; in-laws, Tom & Liz Stephens and numerous other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Mon. Nov. 21 at Kreitzer Funeral Home, 204 N. Main St. Arcanum, OH 45304, with Phillip Garbig officiating. Visitation Monday from 10 AM until service time. Graveside service will be held 2 PM Mon.at Butler County Memorial Park, Middletown. If desired, the family requests donations be made to Arcanum Fire and Rescue or State of the Heart Hospice.
