WIEST, Edson B.
Age 76, of the Brethren Retirement Community, Greenville and formerly of Arcanum, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 22, 2023 in the ER at Wayne Hospital following a sudden illness. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Norma Jean Wiest in 1970, and by his parents, Jeston “Jake” & Esther (McGriff) Wiest. He was a veteran of the US Army and he was a former member of Arcanum Lodge #295 F&AM. He loved to fish, he enjoyed woodworking and farming. Edson is survived by sons, Don (Michelle) Wiest & Adam Kyle Wiest; grandchildren, Robert (Hannah) Wiest, Shannon Wiest & Walter (Lindsay) Wiest; great-grandchild, Hazelee Wiest; brother, Edwin (Theresa) Wiest and numerous other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 1pm Wed. June 28 at the Kreitzer Funeral Home, 204 N. Main St. Arcanum, OH 45304, with burial to follow in Ithaca Cemetery.
