Earl E. Tarr

Age 92, of West Milton, OH, went home to be present with the Lord on April 26, 2025. Earl was a 1955 graduate of Kent State University. He spent three years as a school teacher in Dayton, OH where he taught shop class and driver's education. He was also a chemical salesman. Earl was a born again believer who founded the Worthington Christian Schools in Worthington, OH and Grace Brethren Church of Hope in Hope, NJ. He also enjoyed camping in his RV and spent 11 winters in Sebring, FL. He was an avid sports fan and player. In the 1960's his team won the Dayton semi-pro baseball league. Earl was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Dorothy Tarr; children, Cathi (Ike) Shafer, Shelley Tarr, Jennifer (Terry) Burnett, and Cotton (Vicki) Tarr; grandchildren, Cara Roy, Michael (Sara) Shafer, Cody Shafer, Keturah Sassaman, Tyler (Tara) Hardy, Kyle Burnett, Ross Burnett, Gunnar (Liz) Tarr; great-grandchildren, Luke (Taylor) Steele, Jordan Knight, Chazzy Wolford, Quinn Hudson, Archer Hudson, Kallyn Shafer, Fox Sassaman, Vienna Sassaman, and Parker Tarr; great-great grandchildren, Roen, Nova, Rhea, and Koda. Visitation will be held on Wednesday April 30th from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. at Kreitzer Funeral Home, 204 N. Main St., Arcanum, OH 45304. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, at the funeral home. Interment will be held in Mote cemetery.
