Charles Good Obituary

Charles Dean Good, 85, formerly of Wayne County, Kentucky passed away on April 29, 2024. He was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio.

In 1962, Charles married his lifetime partner, Ramona (“Toni”) Antoinette Justice. Together, they had four children.

Charles lived a life of service, first as a Military Police Officer and also a Supply Technician in the United States Air Force.  Later, he served at-risk youth working for the State of Kentucky as a Juvenile Treatment Officer. He retired from the State of Kentucky. 

He loved Ohio State football, Cincinnati Reds baseball, sitting on the porch with Toni & their pups over the years and coaching his kids growing up in Monticello, Kentucky. He enjoyed family time together and was proud of his children and grandchildren and the lives they built for themselves.

Charles attended Olentangy High School in Columbus, and later earned his GED.

He is survived by his four children, Charles Good, Jr., Brenda Good, Robert (Jewell) Good, Mark Good; grandchildren, Luke (Amanda) Burton, Jake (Kesley Taylor) Burton, Brandon Good, Brittany Good, Cole (Madi) Good, Nate Good; great-grandson, Collier Burton. He is also survived by one sister, Jackie Garrick.

He was preceded in death by his loving and devoted wife of 56 years, Toni Good, great-grandson, Barrett Burton, brother Robert Good, and sisters Bonnie Lamar and Joann Murfield.

Visitation will be held at Kreitzer Funeral Home, 204 N. Main St. Arcanum, Ohio on Monday, May 6 from 10-11 am with a service at 11. A graveside service will follow the funeral at Mote Cemetery in Pitsburg, Ohio. Email condolences may be sent by visiting www.kreitzerfuneralhome.com
