THOMPSON, Carrol D.

Age 96, of Pitsburg, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Village Green Care Center in Greenville. He was born on July 14, 1926 to the late Earl & Treva (Altic) Thompson. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Helen. He was a US Army veteran of WWII and he was a lifelong Darke County farmer. He also spent several years on the Franklin-Monroe School Board. He was a longtime member of Grace United Methodist Church in Ithaca. Carrol is survived by children, Dean (Donna) Thompson, Diane (Terry) Warner, Kent (Shirley) Thompson, Kaye (Ed) Bratka; step-daughters, Diana (Ken) Saltz & Carolyn Henry; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren & great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services, conducted by Pastor Marla Brown, will be held 10:30am, Thursday, Aug. 25 at Grace Church, with burial to follow in Mote Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5-7pm Wednesday at the Kreitzer Funeral Home, 204 N. Main St. Arcanum, OH 45304. In lieu of flowers, please donate to EverHeart Hospice, Greenville, OH.
