WEISENBARGER, Carl E.

Age 87, of Arcanum, passed into the loving arms of Jesus at his home on Sunday, August 28, 2022 following an extended illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur & Mabel Weisenbarger, by a sister, Charlotte Campbell, by an infant brother and by brothers, Richard & Robert Weisenbarger. He was a self-employed carpenter and he also retired as a Major in the Ohio National Guard with over 41 years of service. He was a member of Faith United Methodist Church and the Arcanum Lions Club. Carl is survived by his wife of 67 years, Betty; children, Mark (Teresa) Weisenbarger, Marlin Weisenbarger, Myra (Rick) Ary & Myron (Rochelle) Weisenbarger; grandchildren, Jill (Mark) Etherington, Amy Johnson, Zachary (Allison) Weisenbarger, Benjamin Weisenbarger, Lucas Weisenbarger, Nick (Christina) Ary, Ray (Charity) Weisenbarger, Artie (Lauren) Weisenbarger & MaryJo (Bert) Leonard; 17 great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept.1 at Faith UMC, with Rev. Dr. Jeff Kephart officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Ithaca Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. Wed. Aug 31 at the Kreitzer Funeral Home, 204 N. Main St. Arcanum, OH 45304. Donations may be made to Faith United Methodist Church.
