LONG, Betty S.

Age 79, went home to be with the Lord at 9:15 p.m. Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at Greenville Health & Rehab Center.

Betty was born February 26, 1941 to the late Edgar L. Long & Mabel A. (Whipp) Long. Betty is also preceded in death by her brother, Jack A. Long.

Betty is survived by her brother & sister-in-law, Robert E. & June Long of Arcanum, Ohio; nieces, a nephew & their families, Amber & Greg Shields of Greenville, Ohio, Maddi & Brandon,  & Kia Orr of Greenville, Ohio, Parker Flood of Columbus, Ohio, Chad & Amber Long, Gunner Kirschbaum, Bryson Webb & Kylen Long of Lynn, Indiana. Misty & Travis Hinkle, Emma, Kaedyn, Eva of Piqua, Ohio, Heather & David & Benjamin Goodenow of Greenville, Ohio, Austin & Kristen Johnson of Hohenfels, Germany & baby Kolton is on the way.

Betty’s very special friends Bonnie Whitesel & family of Ansonia, Ohio, Pastor Fred & Jane Howard of Mason, Ohio, Pastor Kevin & Sherry Howard, Greg Howard & wife, all of Westchester, Ohio, several friends at Greenville Health & Rehab Center.

Betty was a very special person. She only saw the good in all people. She loved everything about Elvis & was his biggest fan ever. She could beat anyone at a game of UNO.

A graveside service was held on Saturday, May 16, 2020 at Mote Cemetery, Pitsburg, Ohio with Pastor Kevin Howard officiating.
