RESSLER, Thelma M.

Age 94, formerly of Canal Winchester, passed away Monday, January 30, 2017 at Spring Meade Health Center following an extended illness. She was preceded in death by her husband Glen Ressler, Sr., son Brian Ressler, brothers Adam and Theodore Maurer, sister Kathryn Phipps, and her parents. She was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Stars. Thelma was a proud and active member of New Madison United Methodist Church and spent her life as a devoted wife and mother. Thelma is survived by her son Glen (Carol) Ressler Jr.; daughter Shirley Schissler; grandchildren Scott, Christopher, Jennifer, Heather, Holly, and Eric; numerous great-grandchildren; brother George Maurer, sisters Marjorie Danzeisen, Theola (Hugh) Haines, and Shirley Denlinger and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be 1pm Friday, February 3, 2017 held at Kreitzer Funeral Home, 204 N. Main St. Arcanum, OH 45304. A visitation will be held from 11am-1pm prior to services.  In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to Shriners Hospital in Cincinnati.
