Peffley, Phyllis Viola

Age 94, of Dayton/Phillipsburg went home to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday, January 6, 2019.  She was born October 11, 1924 in Dayton, Ohio to John Wesley Helfinstine Jr. and Viola Decamp Lingo Helfinstine. 

She is preceded in death by her husband Lee Walden Peffley; son, David Bruce Ruppert, and her siblings, Ralph A. Helfinstine, Leroy C. Helfinstine, Elinora N. Stonerock, John M. Helfinstine, Kenneth M. Helfinstine, Harold W. Helfinstine, Orville C. Helfinstine, Doris V. Sivert, Larue V. Whitacre, Everett (Bud) E. Helfinstine and Wanda M. Sever. 

She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She enjoyed bird watching, gardening, canning vegetables, listening to her music boxes, writing and sharing her monthly newsletter with shut-ins, and serving others. She was a loving caregiver to her sisters, Elinora, Wanda Mae, and Doris. She worked at the Metropolitan Life Co and National Cash Register. She was very involved at the Phillipsburg Missionary Church for many years.

She is survived by daughter, Wanda Lee Pierce (Arthur); son Norman C. Ruppert (Jean);  grandson, Aaron (Emily);  granddaughter, Stephanie Burnette (Michael); grandson, Andrew Ruppert (Laura); seven great grandchildren, Wyatt and Lola Ruppert, Lucy, Julia, Halle & Brooklynn Burnette, Sammi Ruppert; several wonderful nieces and nephews, and numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 10, 2019, 12PM noon, at the Phillipsburg Missionary Church, 10493 Dayton-Greenville Pike (Rt. 49), Brookville, OH 45309.  Interment to follow at Bethel Cemetery.  A visitation will be held Thursday from 11AM-12PM leading into the funeral services.  Email condolences may be sent by going online to www.kreitzerfuneralhome.com
