SHUTTLEWORTH, Paul D. “Donnie”

Age 76, of Arcanum, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 5, 2017 at his home after a courageous battle with many health issues over the years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth & Elnora Shuttleworth, brother & sister-in-law, Eugene & Sharon Shuttleworth and his brother-in-law Nolan Petry. In his younger years, Paul enjoyed working on the family farm. As an adult, he devoted his life to fire service. Aside from his love of family and friends, and his love of hearing and telling jokes, his life’s passion was firefighting, which he did for many years on Arcanum Fire and Rescue, Greenville Fire Dept., and Wright-Patterson Fire Dept. Paul is survived by his wife of 39 years, Karen; children & spouses, Kevin (Kim) Shuttleworth, Deb (Ed) Quinn, Pam Shuttleworth (Sue Moran), Kenneth  Shuttleworth (Gayle Gilmore), Travis (Shanna) Shuttleworth; sister, Janet Petry; grandchildren, Steven (Chelsea), Melaine (Chris), Jaccob, Joshua (Holly), Justin, Sarah, Adrianna (Devon); 14 great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 10 AM Friday, March 10 at Kreitzer Funeral Home, 204 N. Main St. Arcanum, OH 45304. Burial will follow in Abbottsville Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to either Arcanum Fire & Rescue or State of the Heart Hospice, and the family wishes to thank in advance, those who will choose to donate.
