THOMPSON, Helen

Age 91, of Arcanum, passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at State of the Heart Hospice in Greenville, following an extended illness. She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers.  She was a long time member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Ithaca. When Helen wasn’t taking care of her children and home, she put 10 hardworking years in as a nurse’s aide at Wayne Hospital. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was such a kind hearted women and will truly be missed. Helen is survived by her husband of nearly 50 years, Carrol; children, Carolyn Henry, Diana (Ken) Saltz, Dean (Donna) Thompson, Diane (Terry) Warner, Kent (Shirley) Thompson, Kaye (Ed) Bratka; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Hazel DuBois, and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services, conducted by Pastor Travis Qualls, will be held 11:30 AM Fri. Aug. 4 at Grace United Methodist Church, 750 Arcanum-Ithaca Rd. Arcanum. Burial will follow in Mote Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to either State of the Heart Hospice, Greenville or Grace United Methodist Church, Ithaca. Arrangements are in care of Kreitzer Funeral Home, 204 N.
