EHLERS,  LeRoy

Age 85, of Arcanum, passed away August 15, 2017 in the care of State of the Heart Hospice following an extended illness. He is preceded in death by his wife, Bonieda (Byrum) Ehlers; sister, Carolyn Gunder, and brother, Richard Ehlers.

For over 50 years LeRoy was the barber everyone went to in Arcanum. Many children would also remember him as a bus driver for Arcanum Schools for many years. When he wasn’t working, LeRoy had a wonderful fascination with race horses and a green thumb for gardening. He was a man that was loved by all and will be missed dearly.

LeRoy is survived by his daughters, Kimberly (Mark) Dowler and Melody (Ronnie) Routzahn; grandchildren, Ryan (Gabi) Dowler, Riley (Treva) Dowler, Rindy Dowler, Winter Baver; great-grandchildren, Desmond Dowler, Hudson Dowler, Jadyn Norris, Kai Kitchen; brother, Duane Ehlers, and numerous other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held Saturday, August 26, 2017 from 2PM-5PM at Kreitzer Funeral Home, 204 N. Main St. Arcanum, OH 45304.
