SIMPSON, John Wesley II

Age 48, of Ithaca, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2017. He is preceded in death by his father, Eugene “Pete” Simpson and brother, Mark Simpson. John was in the top 2% of students in the country his Jr. and Sr. years of high school and was in the band all four years. He enjoyed working on planes, cars and computers. He was an aeronautical engineer for GE and in the Army National Guard artillery branch. He loved sports, painting cars and spending time with his children. Survived by his wife of 25 years, Twilla Simpson; children, Ty, Chantell, Johnny and Tara (William) Young; mother, Shirlene Hopkins; grandchildren, Kolston, Paisley and Scarlett; brothers, Jesse, Donlad Simpson; sisters, Marla (Alex) Morales, Sue Frankman; sister-in-law, Lisa Simpson, and numerous nieces and nephews Funeral services will be held 10 AM Tue., June 13th at the KREITZER FUNERAL HOME, 204 N. MAIN ST., ARCANUM, OH 45304, with burial to follow in Abbottsville Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home 5-8 pm Mon., June 12th.
