James J. Hamilton

Age 73, of Ithaca Ohio, crossed the finish line Monday, January 30, 2017 at State of the Heart Hospice in Greenville Ohio surrounded by his family. Jim was born January 23, 1944. He was preceded in death by his parents Jasper and Esther Mae (Bryson) Hamilton.

Jim was a mechanic, inventor and tinkerer by trade. He could fix or create anything with his sharp mind and able hands. He was raised to love automobiles and spent countless hours building and racing his own modified racecar at Eldora Speedway.

Jim is survived by his wife and best friend Mollie (Faircloth) Hamilton, children, Tricia (Kevin) Eilerman of Eaton, Ohio, Elizabeth (Chris) Schul of Atlanta, Georgia, Matthew (Nicole) Pohl of Vandalia, Ohio and Mark (Missy) Pohl of Arcanum; grandchildren Macy, Conner and Camille Pohl, Lily Schul and Kris Eilerman. Sister-in-Law Jerri (Fred) Zink of Clayton, Gil (Sandi) Faircloth of Loudenville, Ohio. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 2 from 5-8PM at Grace United Methodist at 750 Arcanum Ithaca Road, Ithaca, Ohio. Funeral Services will be at Grace United Methodist Church on Friday, February 3, 2017 at 9am.
